Winter Solstice at Hawthorne Hotel Library Flow, Restore, and Sacred Circle with Herbal Crafting

  • The Hawthorne Hotel 18 Washington Square West Salem, MA, 01970 United States (map)

The gestational time between Samhain and Winter Solstice is deep and dark, lit only by the light from within. We wait patiently, incubating like a seed beneath the cover of frozen earth. From this place of darkness and retreat, the first rays of returning solar light emerge at Winter Solstice, shining the light from without. Although Solstice is the darkest night of the year, the light grows stronger each day afterwards. At this time, we are called to fill our emotional cups with yuletide cheer, and to celebrate hearth, home, and community. The tide turns at Solstice and we quietly take our first steps out of dormancy and into the reborn light.

Join the yoginis and hedge witches of Rebel Yell Yoga and The Chaos Factor for an evening of movement, meditation, mindfulness, and magick. The return of the light hearkens us to ponder what to invite into our lives. Vinyasa flow, restorative yoga, and guided meditation open our minds and bodies to the possibilities that await us. We will also call on our green herbal allies, resonant earth energies, and our powers of intuition to guide us in sacred circle with magickal herbal crafting.

After class we invite you upstairs to the Hawthorne Hotel Bar for a (optional) “Solstice Social” where we will toast holiday cheer, share stories and experiences, and perhaps have some time for intuitive card reading with each other centered on all the good energy we are looking to draw in! Bring your own decks if you have them, but we will also have some to share.

$45

Please bring mats, water, any props you require for yoga, tarot cards if you have them, and bring anything you would like to place on the altar during ritual circle. Please be aware that we may be burning herbs and incense during this workshop. Please join the magick!
