Hecate is an ancient Greek goddess: one of the moon, witchcraft, often represented by the crone aspect of the triple goddess, though she embodies all three. She is the guardian of the crossroads, of the newly born, of the household, and is depicted with her familiars: dogs and serpents, often holding a torch and a key, elements that assist her in the shadow realm, for she is the Queen of the Night. She is also the “hospice nurse” to those preparing to cross over. And, she is the only one of the Titans whom Zeus allowed to retain her powers once the Olympians rose to control: her powers existed before time itself. Her archetype deserves respect and homage.
She reminds us of the importance of change, releasing the past, and “shedding our skin,” which is coupled with the fact that her night of honor, November 16th, is perfectly placed within Scorpio season. This year, in these watery depths, the new moon in Scorpio will be conjunct with this evening honoring her energies.
Are you ready to release? Are you ready to travel to the underworld and back? To shift your patterns? To make changes that will expand you once the light returns?
If so, join me on a journey under the waning moon, as we explore Hecate’s realm, on her night, through guided meditation, infusing shadow work and deep exploration, while being supported by the healing power of reiki. We will gather at Diehl Marcus & Co where you will be greeted with tea and an herbal gift from The Chaos Factor. Fly with us!
