Introduction:

Hello! Thank you so much for joining us on this magickal adventure. First and foremost, we encourage you to take care of YOU during this retreat. Empower yourself to do what resonates with you, and to experience this journey at your own pace. This is your time!

Yoga will be offered by Chrissy twice a day. Vinyasa/flow yoga will generally occur in the morning, with restorative types of yoga offered in the afternoon/evening. An assistant will be available for those looking for modifications.

Daily breakfast and dinner at Finca Victoria are included in the retreat cost. Lunch is not included at the retreat, but there are snacks available onsite, and there will be trips to grocery stores (there are kitchens in all rooms) and downtown areas for lunch each day. The exception being Sat 2/10; we will have breakfast and lunch onsite and go into town for dinner (cost not included).

The wellness treatments available at Finca Victoria are next level! We encourage you to either schedule a treatment in advance by emailing Valeria (or book online here) before you arrive, or you can schedule in-person when you arrive. Each day we will provide transportation to local activities (e.g. excursions, lunch, shopping, and exploring). You can coordinate with us onsite for designated group activities, or feel free to call a taxi to explore on your own.

Please read through all the details in this document before we arrive. The agenda for our stay is contained in the following pages and there is also a helpful resource guide at the end of this document. We highly suggest you print this and bring it with you on the trip (we will also have a few printed copies with us). Please note that the schedule may be adjusted slightly as necessary to accommodate vendors or weather. We will keep everyone updated each morning as needed.

What’s available at Finca Victoria:

What to bring:

  • Puerto Rico, and the small island town of Vieques are very laid back. Vieques, in particular, has a small beach town vibe with year round temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Winter is the dry season and easterly trade winds kick up every afternoon. You will want to pack accordingly: bathing suit(s), sun protection (sunscreen/clothing to protect you), shorts, tanks/t-shirts, dresses, and perhaps a light sweater or pants for the evening. If you plan on doing any of the hiking or horseback riding please bring appropriate footwear and clothing. Your flip flops and sandals will be helpful at the beach or by the pool. And of course, don’t forget your yoga clothes!

  • PR is a US Territory, so you will not need to do any currency conversion and the retreat center as well as many places on the island take major credit and debit cards. Cash is always king though (especially for tipping), so you may want to have some in hand or you can hit an ATM at one of the stores or banks.

  • Your cell phone plans work as they do domestically, don’t forget your charger. United States citizens and permanent residents don't need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico.

  • Many stores on the main island are the same as we have here where you can purchase the same personal care products.  Again, because Vieques is a small beach town/island, you may not be able to find all your favorite brands, so please plan on bringing those with you as you see fit.

  • All yoga mats and props are provided, but depending on your personal practice, additional items you might consider bringing are: journal, oracle cards, sketchbook, mala beads, or anything else that resonates with you.

  • Places of interest in Vieques (the main town centers are Isabel Segunda and Esperanza):
